Computers have been around, in one form or another, for hundreds of years! Some computers could be programmed to do tasks for humans, while others could be used to help tell time.
Only a few years ago a computer was so large that it took up an entire room! Today, computers can be small enough to wear on your wrist - or even smaller than that!
