Freedom

Everything is meaningless without freedom. Would it matter if you had a million dollars but couldn't use it? Would it matter if you had the best idea in the world but couldn't tell anyone? Freedom is what every person really wants. It's amazing!

We are lucky to live in Canada because we have so many freedoms. We are able to say what we want, live where we want to live, wear what we want to wear, go where we want to go, and be the religion that we want to be. We are the lucky ones.

There are millions of people around the world still living in slavery today. There are still some countries where people are put in jail for speaking out against their government. There are some government leaders who try to convince other leaders to make their countries more free. There are also concerned citizens who use their positions to help others who are less fortunate.

But what is freedom really?

Some people say freedom is simply a nice day in the sunshine. Some say it's a bike ride. Some people say it is the ability to make your own choices and be who you want to be. Maybe it's just being able to say what's on your mind. Maybe it's giving up all your things and stuff and living the simple life.

Humans are not the only creatures who want freedom. Animals also deserve to live happy lives. Imagine if you had to live your life in a cage. Wouldn't you rather be able to fly, run around, explore and have fun? Of course you would!

Never take your freedom for granted! It's the most important thing in the world!
